Fostering mental health and well being in a changing world
Study after study shows that relaxation, meditation and mindfulness increase levels of well being, capacity to handle stress, health, adaptability and motivation.
A recent Accenture study reports that 66% of the workforce has experienced mental health challenges. The WHO predicts that mental health-related diseases will be the number one driver of occupational disability disability by 2020.
The world of work is rapidly changing. Adaptation to new hybrid work practices are creating additional stresses. Research shows that almost 50% of jobs will be impacted by automation by 2033. Pressure to re-skill and adapt are constant, with employees having to take on new roles. Never before have leaders, managers and employees needed “soft” competencies such as resilience and emotional intelligence to allow them confidently step out of their comfort zones into new territory.
Skills such as emotional flexibility and agility have been shown in research to help people alleviate stress, reduce errors, become more innovative, and perform better. What company doesn’t want to give itself the “human edge” by having a work-force that is thriving rather than merely surviving ?
Mindfulness and wellbeing workshops are an extremely cost effective way of bringing the benefits of mindfulness , positive psychology and CBT to your workforce.
Positive psychology brings a new dimension into corporate wellness and executive coaching, focusing on the positive side of human nature, on cultivating strengths, increasing emotional agility, and creating the conditions for maximum employee flow and engagement, using interventions that are scientifically proven to be effective.
A Workshop generally last 2.5 hours, and can be taken on its own or can be combined into a full day programme. Or a regular weekly or monthly programme can be tailored to your company’s requirements.
Each workshop includes mindfulness practice and techniques that can be incorporated into the workplace. Workshops are participative rather than lecture-based, are fun and rewarding for participants, and the skills learned tend to be self-reinforcing.
A mindfulness and positivity programme has a “Ripple Effect” on the whole organisation.
